| “The
UK, like many other countries throughout the globe is presently
seeing a downtown in all markets. The financial markets
have been taking a major pounding, as have the commodities
exchanges and property markets. Large mortgage houses and
financial institutions have been on the brink of collapse
and everyday businesses are making cut backs on staff and
ongoing expenditure. Is there light at the end of the tunnel
people ask me? Personally, I always look on the brighter
side of any downhill spiral and in return to their question
I reply ‘There are more opportunities now than there
has been in 20 years to create a strong foothold in something,
if you are big enough and positive enough to ride out your
position now is the time - seize the day’.
How can I be so positive?
Well, I look at things through what is referred to as ‘rose
tinted glasses’ and take the view that if you are
in a financially strong position at present, why not take
advantage of the current climate and purchase that property
portfolio that you have been keen to gain over the last
10 years, purchase the collection of priceless paintings
that are being sold off at heavily discounted prices. It
is a cruel way to do business think some people, but honestly,
one mans loss truely is another mans gain!
We all know that the UK economy
is in a terrible state, as is the Worlds at present, but
we also all know that the market will turn as it always
does and that the businesses and individuals that choose
to stand strong in times such as these deserve to reap the
rewards of their labour.”
